I am going to take three children (age 2, 3, and 4) on a train ride. Obviously trains do not have seatbelts or carseats, but I was wondering what the safest arrangement would be, in your opinions??? I understand that trains are really safe in general, I just want to be as safe as possible.
The part we would sit in would have one forward facing bench and one rearfacing bench, and I will be facing all three children (all on the same bench) with another adult on my bench. Do you think it would be safer to have the children forward facing or rearfacing??? My first instinct is to put them rearfacing... but after I thought about it I was afraid that in an accident/rapid stop we (the adults) could fly off the seats and hit them (the children) which could be more dangerous, kwim?
