would you buy it

I was in a discount store the other day and i came across a combi infant seat, and stroller at an amazing deal. Both sealed new in box. We currently have a combi city savvy double stroller that i love. And a safe seat that i love. We are planning on getting pregnant in about a year, as soon as we get over this terrible 2 stage (my son is 21 months) This would also most likely be my last baby. I am one who loves the infant seat for the mobility issue espcially when they are sleeping and in the colder months her in MA. I do baby wear also. But my son was such a horrible sleeper that once he was asleep there was nothing i was doing to move him and wake him. If we do get pregnant while he is under 4ish, i want the option to have them both in a stroller if needed. The infant seat is only 79.99 so a much cheaper option than buying another double stroller that fits our current carseat. The safeseat. Which i would keep for when the baby outgrew the other infant seat. I am afraid that i will never find such a great deal on the seat. And since this baby should be my last i don't care that the seat already has 2 years gone on its expiration. Would you buy the seat now if you could afford it to put away until you have another one in a year or 2. Or just wait. It just seems like such a great deal to pass up.

If it were me, I would wait. I can't see spending money on a seat that might not be used for a while (and possibly never if I was not able to get pregnant). Within the next couple years, I am guessing that another great deal will show up. There may be some really neat and extra-safe baby seats on the market by then and if you buy something now, then you won't have an excuse to buy something later.

in my case i would buy t. i have no problems getting pregnant noth times was first try. and if i had the double stroller it would fit i would get it. double strollers are not cheap and neither are infant seats so if you like the combi stroller and the combi seat i think its a win win situation

I loved my Combi Connection infant seat...it is pretty narrow/lightweight and I found it so easy to use and install. I also am a fan of Combi strollers.

in your case, I would definitely buy it.

In my case, I'd likely buy it because you have the stroller and it'd be just one more thing that made your life easy and since you haven't even started TTC yet, you don't know if it will be a winter baby, so even for me (a lovely avid babywearer), I'd want the option of doing it at least for quick trips on cold (here it's usually raining, which is worse than snow for keeping baby dry) days.

my kids at the age of 3-4 were still at that stroller riding age, even if it was just me who wanted them to.

Ruthie now will still ride, though she isn't the riding FIEND her brothers were.

In my experience, though, a new baby just makes the older one want to ride more. And I hate the heavy strollers that take the SS1 (except the joggers, of course), so it just makes sense.

Also, I've seen Julie's (Jools) comparison shots with Leah and the Combi seats go very tall compared to even the keyfit (the 22lb model), so it's not like it's a short seat.

If you had a skinny child, you might find you are satisfied with it and don't need the ss1 after it.

Now, I would leave it in the box in case you change your mind and decide to sell it, but I would definitely buy it.

Oh... and the other thing... I'd buy it because you just never know when a small baby will come along to surprise you... and the combi fits small babies SOOOO well... and that price is just phenominal... it's only 20 dollars more than an EVILFLO DISCOVERY!

Money well spent, I say.

thanks everyone its a matter of getting dh to agree but we will see. I had to laugh at that last comment as i do not have small babies. DD was 9 lbs 4.74oz and ds was 11 lbs 6 oz. So i highly doubt this baby would be small also. But they begin to average out around 4 or 5 months.

lol... well, if you went early was what I was referring to.

I haven't had a baby under 7lbs except when I had Damian early... and he was 4lbs 7oz... very small... he came home at just 5lbs.

Jeffrey weighed twice his brother's birthweight (well, almost... he was 1oz short of being exactly double).

I still say for what you want it for, it's ideal... and you could turn around and sell it for most of what you pay when you are done with it (it would also increase the CL value of your double stroller when that time comes)
