What is the maximum child height for RF in this seat? Can all the slots be used RF?

Yes, all the slots can be used for rear-facing. As long as there is 1 inch of hard shell above the child's head, and they are below the weight limit (30lbs in Canada), then your child can rear-face in the Scenera.

Adding to the quoted 2 criteria, the harness slots used when rf also need to be either at the same level or below the shoulders. In another word, pls don't use the set above the shoulders when rf.

I thought the stickers on the seat says that you can only use it RF up to 32 inches in height then you have to be FF.

RF 19-36 inches in the manual. After that you must FF if beyond that height?

Does one ignore the manual and stickers on the seat that say RF 19-36 inches and use it past the height specifications?

    Re: Cosco Scenera

I think in Canada it only says rear-facing to 32". But yes, most people here will tell you to ignore that. The reason being... Car seat manufacturers have to give height guidelines. But height is so different for each child. You could have 2 kids, each being 32" tall, but maybe one has a super long torso, and his head is over the top of the seat, and the other has super long legs, so there are still a few inches of shell over his head. Obviously, the one whose head is over the top has to be turned forward-facing. In an accident the child's head could strike the interior of the car, because it is not contained within the seat. So basically, that's what height guidelines are about, the child's head needs to be contained within the seat for it to be protected properly. So generally we say 1" of shell above the head. Some manufacturers have started putting this in the manual (The First Years True Fit).
