Ok so I like to watch Discovery Health and all the shows they have about kids and parents of mutiples. I am amazed at how often I see infants under 1 year of age in forward facing car seats. I mean the kids who are mutiples seem to smaller than the average child especially if they were premature. I wish there was a way to get in touch with some of the parents to let them know how dangerous it is to have them forward facing. I think it also sends a bad example to other parents who may see them doing it and think it is ok. I am just amazed at how little people seem to know about car seat safety. You would think it would be a top priority for parents to learn about to how keep there children safe. I know alot of parents who are not willing to learn nor do they want to listen. They think there child is fine if the harness is a little loose so they are not uncomfortable or its ok to have them forward facing so they can see out the window better. I just don't get it. It is nice to see a place where everyone agrees about car seat saftey. I don't feel like I am the only one anymore and it is nice to know that so many other parents feel the same way I do. I know I am doing the right thing with my almost 4 year old still in a harness when most of his friends are booters. Just wanted to say I think everyone here is great and I admire all of you for standing up for what you believe in. I hope that doesn't sound to corny :)

I agree totally! I watch a ton of TLC (or listen to it at least) and its awful what i see! I think alot of parents just dont realize that riding in a car is as dangerous as it is, they do it every day and dont get hurt. And have no idea that there is a right and wrong way to do it. I guess with everything else there is to think about they dont put two and two together and realize a loose harness isnt going to hold a child in a seat or that a chest clip isnt meant to sit on top of a buckled belly buckle (What is the official name for it? Buckle?)

Your certainly not the only one and i commend you at going against the norm by protecting your child!
