:):)Evenflo has a new car seat It's the Symphony retails for 199.99. It's a 3-1 turns into a booster seat and goes to 100lb. I didn't check the height on it. I saw it tonight at BRU. I liked it from what a saw of it . It reminded me of ds1 first seat the Fisher Price Safe Embrace. I think that was the name of it. It turned into a booster as well. I'm sorry I couldn't link the BRU site to this post. hopefully someone can do that for me. Just thought I'd share the info.

It's been talked about a lot in the past few weeks here on the boards.

It really isn't one of my top choices in seats right now since it only harnesses to 40 lbs (booster for 30-100lbs) and it has a top harness height of 16". With all the 17"+ top harness heights on the market and over 40lb weight limit seats on the market, there isn't a whole lot special about this seat.

One thing it does have though is a neat latch connector thing which is suppose to be really easy to use.

I am sorry I didn't see anyone post about it yet. I didn't read eveything on it. I thought it would go to 50lb harnessed like the EFTA and than turn into a booster. Still a great choice for alot of people I think. My dc1 wasn't 40lb until 4.5. I'd be fine with the seat. 50 would be better and being able to take the cover off would be nice. Since Darren said it's spot cleaning only. Yikes!

I had emailed Evenflo asking why on earth it only harnesses to 40, not 50. They said it's because of the SureLATCH, but that they think that will greatly help the misuse issues. But they are still working on geting it approved to 50 pounds.

Anything has got to be better than those HORRID rectangular LATCH connectors that Evenflo has been using. Those things can drive you around the bend attempting an install. Especially top tethering in Dodge SUV's and trucks... /shudder

all I heard back was that they appreciated me taking my time to contact them and that they would forward the comments.

However, I did notice that it was from GAYE... and I recognized that as the CSR that has emailed me at my old email address when I had questions about other seats, so I actually think that the questions will get forwarded.

I'm a little confused by this comment. The hook used to attach the top tethers of Evenflo seats are pretty standard across the board for other manufacturers as well, and the size of the adjuster really isn't any different either - the MA tether adjuster is identical to the EFTA tether adjuster. Considering that tether straps don't usually vary a huge amount in width, it would make sense that the adjusters themselves don't either...

Evenflo is VERY good at forwarding emails to the specific department that is best able to handle them. Both myself and another tech on this board have at separate times and about separate questions had our inquiries forwarded to actual engineers for clarification. We haven't liked the response totally in either instance because it wasn't what we were hoping to hear, but I know speaking personally I was pleased with at least getting a concrete and definite answer.

So I would expect that they will forward the comments in this instance.
