I got the official email yesterday. I kind of knew it was coming, but now I know for sure. So, I thought I'd share. Also, watch for deals on it since the price policy no longer applies and stores will start trying to clearance them out. Now Britax has no boosters or infant seats.

They're announcing a new bucket at ABC. And the Monarch hasn't been discontinued. But yeah, they're moving away from it.

They need some of us on staff. I live in NC, I volunteer. LOL

I can't wait to see the new one! Me and hubby had already decided on the Chicco KeyFit 30 for our next child but if Britax came out with a really cool infant seat, we might have to change our minds

Hmmmm...if it's out before the end of the year, or soon after, we may want that one instead of the SS1.

Don't see me having a kid anytime soon but that was my seat of choice. Is there another US seat with the anti-rebound bar?

The Combi Centre. There is a version w/o the anti-rebound bar, and one with the bar. The one without the bar is still supposed to have some anti-rebound function due to the design of the base.

Can only hope the new Britax infant is similar to the BabySafe (anti-rebound bar, foot prop, ISOFIX) :thumbsup:

The Monarch was discontinued about a month ago.

I wonder if the new Britax bucket will have a 30lb limit. . .although that might threaten their convertable lines. Hmmmmm.
