Protecting the Car Seat

Little C has decided that he is done wearing diapers and only wants underwear. For being only 26 months, he has been doing a really good job with only a few accidents (but we haven't gone anywhere except the mile to my parents house) and he doesn't give much notice when he has to go. Is there anything that is safe that I can put in his car seat during this time for him? Especially for his ride to daycare and other appointments we need to go to.

I do have a spare seat and we will have spare covers for the Nauti (once the new ones arrive to replace the accident ones) but changing covers is such a pain!

I use Chux pad for Tucker. They are the big fold out paper pads they use under you in the hospital. You can get them at a medical supply store. Puppy training pads are basically the same thing too. The only downfall is they smell because most have baking soda in them.

I just put a Pull-Up over the underwear. Worked great to protect seats, strollers, clothes, but DS still felt the wetness so it didn't impede his potty training.

If you go this route, just make sure you tuck in any peeking-out underwear along the legs, so if your DS does pee, at least the underwear won't wick the pee onto his clothes, car seat, etc.
