CPS training course

I got an e-mail today informing me of an upcoming CPS training session in my area in June. I think I will be able to get someone to watch my two kids and am hoping I can sign up for the course. But on the application it says...

"The Child Safety Seat Resource Center (CSSRC) is now accepting applications for the NHTSA Standardized Child Passenger Safety Technical Training course using the 2004 Standardized Child Passenger Safety Training curriculum. The certification process is provided through Safe Kids Worldwide."

The part I am curious about is that it will be using the curriculum from 2004. Is this something to be worried about or is the curriculum good for a few years? Thanks for any input y'all have!

I'm thinking of taking a class in two weeks and its also 2004 curriculum. I found lots of links for current techs to get updated 2004 books so i think thats the last time they changed it. I dont think much has changed curriculum wise in 2 years.

Keep in mind the amount of work that goes into preparing each revision of the manual, ect. The 2004 manual was just released last year, iirc.

The 2004 curriculum (which is updated) is the most current one. The next curriculum is not expected to be released until 2007.
