This is an expired seat my local PD was using. I gave them my spare Cosco Touriva for now.

I can't believe how small this seat is! My son would have to be FF b/c he is right around 30-31 lbs and less than 1" of hard shell. The top slots have to be used in the FF position.

My son will be 2 next month and 36 1/2" standing tall.

Welcome to "old-school" seats Pixie :)

That's the same shell as the Scout/Trooper/Champion, and is very similar to the newer Tribute.

Blhhhhhhhhh and why are they still making that Tribute seat??? EFTA wins hands down!

I think it's funny that about 2 years ago or so there was a report on GMA (or maybe it was the Today show) about car seats getting bigger due to obesity crisis in our country.

Maybe the seats are getting bigger and better b/c after years of research and children loosing their lives........they finally understood children aren't small adults. They are safer in a 5pt harness.

I have a 2006 evenflo tribute. The seat is just as tall as that old seat. My dd is the car seat geek dream child. She is 3 years, 8 months, weighs around 29 pounds, and has 2 inches above her head in the tribute. Since I couldn't get it rfing next to the scenera I did turn it around. Dd can sit in it only when her brother is also in the car. (These are spare seats.) I got the seat at a seat check and for my tiny kids it has been a wonderful seat for $20.
