we are taking a trip to st lucia next month and i can't decide which seat to bring. ds still fits in the companion (this is his main seat). we also have a ss1 which would be just as easy to install if he gains 3 lbs in a month. or i have a RA with the gogo kidz. i know we are going to have to take a 2 hour drive to get the the hotel from the airport, but i don't know what kinds of car yet. we kinda decided not to bring a stroller since the strollers we have won't really go on the sand, but if we decide we have a graco mosaic that the companion/ ss1 fits in. which seat should we bring: companion, ss1 or RA with gogo kidz.

SS1, easier to install without the base, and lighter than the companion. Definitely NOT the RA, though! Use the basket as long as possible in these situations.

i would say the safe seat 1. Also especially if it fits in the mosaic. I love my mosaic. I am just thinking what if ds falls asleep before or after you get on the plane you do not have to wake him to get on or off.

We got married in St Lucia and I can tell you that are the cars are very new. Their is a high tax on old parts so it is cheaper for them to buy new than fix old to get all the old junkers off the road.

That being said, we took a shuttle bus that sat 12 from airport to hotel, it is a very up and down ride to the hotels (where ar eyou staying). From one hotel to another, we took a taxi all with lap belts. From hotel 2 to airport, we were in a 8 passenger van with no belts at all.

Let me know if you have any St Lucia questions and i can help you :)

can i come with you? need a babysitter :)
