Made my first 911 call today

I was behind a white suv of some kind and saw movement in the middle. I thought "Oh, no, please don't be a kid'" then saw another kid (around 3) get up and move around two middle captains chairs.
I jotted down the license number and pulled over. (I don't like to drive and work the phone.)
I called 911, not knowing if they would even care, (I'm in AZ after all  ) but the operator was nice and transferred me right away.
The new operator took my info and even asked more questions. Whew!
So even if they didn't catch them, they most likely will send them the info that the hotline sends out.

yeah they probably can't do anything because they didn't see it but all some parents need is a letter from the police or other authority to scare their butts. if nothing else maybe those kids will get those $20 backless boosters from walmart and use a seatbelt. with parents like that something is better then nothing

Good for you! I found this information on the Arizona DMV website. I'm thinking we should all look it up for each state we live in and put it in our cell phones. I already report people who throw out lit cigarette because they cause wildfires out here.

"...if you spot a vehicle with a passenger under eight years old who appears not to be properly restrained, you can report the driver by calling (800) 505-BABY. Be sure to know the vehicle's license plate number and state, the location, and where the child was sitting." source http://www.dmv.org/az-arizona/safety-laws.php
