Is it worth waiting for the Nautilus (in Canada) for a Mazda 5?

Has anyone tried the Nautilus in the 3rd row of a Mazda 5? I'm going to have to get a new seat for my 3 year old, because my 2 month old, who is only 12.5 lbs now) will probably be out of the infant seat in a few months (limit is 22 lbs). I'm guessing by Christmas.

I'm probably going to get him either a Frontier or a Nautilus, but I need something that is definitely compatible with the 3rd row of my finicky car. He is 36.6 lbs now.

Can anyone recommend another seat (available in Canada) that I could use? I thought I saw an Evenflo model that had higher harness slots too but I can't remember the name.

Thank you!

The Nautilus looks like a great seat, but we still don't know when it's coming. Everytime we are told it should be here by such and such a time, the time passes and we still don't see the seat. If your baby is getting pretty close to outgrowing his seat, then I would just bite the bullet and go for another seat.

The other seat that I think you are referring to is the Evenflo Triumph Advance. It's a nice seat as well, but I would still personally go for the Frontier.:twocents: The EFTA doesn't turn into a booster later where as the Frontier does. Not only does it turn into a booster seat, but it turns into a great booster seat. One of the best on the market in my opinion!

Hope this helps!

I have put a Nautilus in the third row of a Mazda5. Goes in there great (unlike the Radian!)

Has anyone tried the Frontier in the third row of the Mazda 5 yet? It is on our short list of cars and I know the third row how some issues.

OP, I have heard the Nautilis installs well in the third row. If you can wait for it, I probably would, just to give yourself some options, if not then I would try the Frontier.
