regent, frontier, nautilus....

I was going to buy DD1 new seats at the britax sept. sale. I had originally planned on getting her frontiers, possibly a nautilus for DH's truck. But then i got a hold of a blue bouquet cover that i love:whistle: So i was thinking a regent for the F150 and one frontier for now for the van and then keep the true fit awhile longer since she still has room. how far away is the crotch strap from the back of the seat in the regent - from what i am reading DD maybe to small for the regent - obvuoisly i would give up the cover if it won't work but if it is possible she will fit, i would like to have at least one regent. I think DD2 would definately get some use out of it eventually also. I don't think she will fit in her in her MA/BLVD comfortably after age 2 or 3 because she is so big:)

My dd is 5, 43 inches, 16 1/3 torso and 45lbs. She fits nice in the Regent, I don't know the distance but she's right on the closest slot. Your dd looks very tiny, I would keep the True Fit, I know my dd still fits with a good amount of growing room. The Britax sales are like twice a year not to mention individual sales. I would hold off. Oh and my dd still fits the Marathon. You may have a good year or more with what you have, I wouldn't get anything unless you need to. But that's just me. As for the cover, hold onto it, store it and have it when you need it.

I checked today, the crotch strap is about 3 inches from DD. But when it's buckled you really can't tell, but if there was an accident I assume she will slide forward a bit.

there is no britax any where near me except a brooke MA at target - nothings else....they don;t even have the TF, a nautilus - nothing - we are in a pretty big city but i don't beleive car seat safety is a big thing around here so they don't offer many options. I'll make sure when i get one, i can get purchase the return insurance in case it just won't work out.
