Tell me about Safety 1st Avenue, please

I posted a thread asking some questions about carseats for my 3 across and some people suggested Avenues.

What's the difference between the Uptown and Avenue?

Would you recommend the seat for a small two year old (24lbs, 31inches) and an average 8 month old (18 lbs, 26inches)?

They are based on the same shell- which is really quite tall for a 40 lb convertible. The difference is that the Avenue covers have a bit less padding. That's not to say they're unpadded, just that they aren't super thick like the Uptown. The Avenue also comes in more patterns.

Great seat - a perfect choice for an inexpensive convertible that will get you a little more room then the other 40lb seat offerings. I know sears & kmart carry it and you can usually find a $5 off coupon or so at www.wow-coupons.com

Also - the color choices are just too cute. Dorel is doing some serious research on what sells because their patterns are just too cute this year.
