Tipping Parkway, anyway to fix it???

I know this has come up before about the Parkway being "tippy". It there anything to do to fix it?? I put it outboard beside DS2 hoping it wouldn't tip, but it still is!! I am not usually one who worries too much if the seat is not at a straight angle, but DS1 is complaining of it digging into his shoulder on the side it tips to. I tried moving it up a notch, but then it doesn't hit him right for the headrest and it puts the belt to high off his shoulder.:( Somebody got a trick that might work... I really love the Parkway, but this is the only problem I have had with it.

I've never seen a PW in use, but would locking the shoulder belt help? Maybe then he would have the freedom of movement that is allowing him to tip.

Thanks Susan, not sure if that will work or not since it is the whole seat tipping and not just the head wings. It worth a shot though. I think it is from tightening the belt across his lap and it pulls to the side that is buckled, make sense?:)

IME it's all about the shape of the vehicle seat. I've never had a problem with it outboard, though. The only thing I can thing of is to shift it around on the vehicle seat to see if you can find a more stable position.

Thanks Ladies.:) I went and played with his seat some before the bottom dropped out here.:p If I put him in the middle with the 2 Radians outboard it is more difficult for him to buckle it and it blocks my rearview.:( The only position available right now for him is outboard, but I will try and play with it some more tomorrow. He may have to go back to the backless Turbo for a little bit anyways after his surgery on Friday so that the wings on the Parkway headrest don't bother his ear.

My 8 yr old rides outboard in a parkway in my van (3rd row)--and it does lean. It used to drive me crazy trying to figure out what was wrong with it.

And then I finally realized...He was leaning toward the center so he could see between the two captain's chairs. However, when we put him in the middle, he completely blocks the view out the back window.

So now I have him make sure his seat is straight when he's about to sit down, and remind him to sit up straight if I catch a glimpse of him in the rear view mirror ;). Good luck with your's!
