tips of ears?

when is a marathon out grown? other than the weight limit, harness staps being above or at the shoulder? is there anything about the tips of the ears?

I'm asking for a friend and to expand my general knowlage:thumbsup:

A forward facing seat is outgrown when the weight limit is reached OR the shoulders are above the top slots OR the tips of the ears reach the top of the shell. The shoulders are the most common reason.

Huh, I just went and looked at the manual online (the all versions one), and they now have a handy little red and green graphic, and specify even with the child's shoulders in a line level with the ground. That's new! It also means the seat is outgrown sooner when used in a more reclined installation :(

Moral to the story, always read the manual, even when you think you know!
