I know the official answer to this is kids vary and anything is normal. But I know there are quite a few around here who have kids with long torsos, so I'm hoping some of you might be able to shed some light for me...
Dd has been having a growth spurt, and I'm wondering if it's typical at this age to grow this much this fast or if I'm imagining some of it.
Since her dr. appt July 10th, she has gained well over a lb - our scale weighed slightly less than the dr. by maybe a couple ozs, and she was weighed without shoes on both occassions. And now it seems like she's shot up about 1/2 to 3/4" in torso in just the last few weeks.
Is that really possible? It seem like a heck of a lot of growth to be concentrated in her torso in that length of time. Granted her growth in the last year has been mostly in her legs, so she is due for a torso growth spurt, but can they really grow this fast at 4yrs old?
