Question Tether/LATCH option in 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE? TrueFit?

My manual states, "Your vehicle has tether strap anchorages behind certain rear seating positions for use with these child restraints. Anchorage hardware and installation instructions are available from your dealer."

It says it has anchorages but then it goes on to state the hardware is available from the dealer. So does this mean I need more hardware to make this option possible?

Also, my child is almost 4 years old, 40 lbs and in a TrueFit. From what I am reading, LATCH is not an option (what I've read states car seat weight + child weight cannot be over 65 lbs?). I don't know how much the TF weighs.

I obviously need to get the TF manual back out to read up on all of this.

Thanks in advance.

You van have have top tether anchors added, but not LATCH. I'm sure someone with a LATCH manual will be along shortly to give you part numbers and stuff to help.

If I can't have LATCH added, what are the part numbers for? I did find part numbers on this site already but now am I reading that I can't have it installed?

Either way, looks like I'll be selling the TF for a Radian. The TF doesn't fit with two boosters both outboard (same bench seat). :/

You can have tether anchors added, but not lower anchors. The lower anchors are no more safe than seatbelts and are just supposed to be more convenient. You can't have them added, but no biggie. As for the top tether, it provides an important safety benefit of reducing head excursion and Chyrsler with retrofit the tether anchors free of charge.

The part numbers are 04864118AB for the second row and 05018506AA for the third row. The tether points are on the floor behind the seats. Refer the Chrysler Technical Service Bulletin 32-008-00 Revision B.
