musical seats and musical cars

So DH and I are going on vacation in 19 days (WOOHOO!) DS is staying with my best friend (his GodMother) Wed, Thurs, Fri. Then my mom is going to take him Fri evening, Sat and Sun (we'll be home Sun evening).

So here is the question.

The cars are my 98 Plymouth Breeze and my Best Friend's newish Minivan (I'm not sure exactly what kind of van but it's new enough to have LATCH). The seats are our MA and my mom's Scenera.

So My mom will have our car (we're taking a different car on vacation) to get Gabe. So I have to put one of the seats into our car and then put the other one into my friend's vehicle.

Does it really matter what seat I put where? I've installed the MA into her van before but not the Scenera. That makes me lean towards giving her the MA and my mom the Scenera in my car. But my car is older with no side air bags (DS is in the middle though), so maybe I should keep my MA in my own car and give my best friend the Scenera. She has 3 of her own kids so I don't think they'll be out and about that much but it's possible.

Maybe none of it matters and I'm WAY over thinking this. This is the first long trip we're taking without DS. The longest I've left him before was for 2 nights.

So would you be playing musical seats or just give my best friend the spare Scenera and leave the MA installed where it normally is? Help me, I have way too much stuff to plan for this trip still and I'm really afraid I'm making it all more difficult then it needs to be!

I would switch it just because if you are going to be the one installing only one seat, the MA is easier to install than the scenera and you can make sure the angle and everything is correct on the seat installed. Does that make any sense?

the one thing i would think about since hes RF is the seats vs seat backs in relation to the harness adjusters. b/c the adjuster is lower on the scenera and therefor harder to get to. so maybe keep that in mind
