So in the manual there is a whole page with big writing. It specifically states "unless otherwise specified, LATCH limit for lower anchors is 48 lbs. Weight limit for top tether is 48 pounds."
A few pages over though it states a top tether MUST be used for all installations FFing.
Being a tech, I know that using a top tether beyond the weight is fine, however, if a regular old person was reading this manual and did not want to go past the recommendations of the car or manual, wouldn't this seat be useless for them after 48 pounds??
How can you have a 65 pound carseat require a top tether, yet in the same breath say the max weight of the top tether is 48 pounds???
If someone did not want to go against manufacturers "rules" how would you ever use this seat to 65 pounds KWIM??
