Should they be selling the BV???

I was just browsing my local craigslist and saw a BV for sale. They stated the seat was in a minor read end accident. And that their insurance company bought them a new one so their selling this on. IMO they shouldnt be selling this one. I am thinking about posting on craigslist that you shouldnt buy a car seat that has been in an accident. By the way it is listed on the Chicago craigslist.

A minor rear end accident *may* meet Britax's standards for continued use. I don't like that they are selling it, but the seat may be considered safe to use.

Gotcha!! I hope it was very minor and meets Britax's standards.....on another note there are also 2 RA's one manufatured in 2000 and I believe the other in 2001. Both for $25.00 each. I am pretty sure I am going to buy them for the covers and to make sure the actual seat does not get used!!

Ethically I'd say they shouldn't be selling it since insurance replaced it. If it's still safe to use they should donate it to someone in need.

it's not the most ethical thing, but since it meets the Britax standards of reuse AND they are at least being HONEST about it, I wouldn't flag.

I'd just question why they wouldn't just keep it for themselves as a spare or destroy it and just sell the coverset (perhaps email them and suggest this?)
