ERF Days are over..

DD2 is consistently 34.5lbs now, so our days of ERF are over...:( ...I'm glad we made it to 3yrs 3mo, but I'm a little freaked out at the thought of driving with her FF (funny, but it didn't bother me in the least when DD1 was FF at 15mo..).

On the plus side, DS was 22lbs today, so we're officially ERF with him now:thumbsup:.

Question: if I've got a 5yo in a RN and a 3yo in a TF, who is least protected? The 5yo because the RN doesn't have a lot of SIP? Or the 3yo because she's smaller? Just trying to figure out where to put the seats once the barf is washed out of them from the road trip! DS will be RF on the passenger side, but not sure which DD should be outboard, or does it really matter? I guess ideally DD2 would be in the RN in the middle and DD1 would be in the TF outboard, but there's no way DD1 is going to give up her "Princess seat"...

Any thoughts?

Youngest ff'ing child is least protected technically speaking, but I do share your thinking that your dd in the TF is likely to be better protected in a side impact collision than your dd in the Radian.

Really, at the ages your girls are at, it's probably 6 of one, half dozen of the other. I'd go with whatever works best logistically and in terms of them getting along the best. ;) I'm sure that the difference is probably marginal either way.

And yay for her getting some more rf'ing time with the TF. I honestly wouldn't worry about ff'ing a 3yr old. She's very well developed and will be safe ff'ing.
