Swivel Seat Hypothetical...

Would you move a boostered child out of a booster to use the swivel seat RF (i.e. do you think the RF benefit trumps the booster?) Would it depend on their fit (and what fit criteria would matter to you?) How well do you think a lap-shoulder belt would contain a child from ramping up?

Just wondering. :p

The new Chrysler swivel n go seats have optional integrated boosters that can be used in rf mode. I'm assuming it has been tested that way and so suppose it must sufficiently limit ramping.

Interesting. I didn't know they had the integrated booster option.

I have GOT to call the car rental place and ask about that...they use Dodge and Chrystler vehicles. If the minivan we're renting has them, I won't need to bring their boosters! Woo Hoo! :D

I wouldn't count on it. Rental vehicles are usually bare bones. We (unintentionally) rented an 08 caravan and it had two bench seats- not even captain's chairs, let alone swivel n go. It did have an integrated 5 pt harness though, which was nice for riding together with our friends.

aw nuts! oh well, would have been nice.

You never know though, I'd still check. When we rented a mini-van in Mexico, it had the built in carseats in 4 positions. (I totally don't remember the make.) It didn't really matter though, as I still installed Jenna's Radian anyway.
