Question Tethering in 2003 Ford Expedition

We just bought a Britax Marathon. And our Expedition's manual states the tether (floor) is on the back/bottom of the seat. There is a little hook there. Is that correct? Also, the carseat came with what looks like an extra tether? I have no read through the entire manual yet as we have not installed it into the Expedition yet.

The extra tether. It is a loop with metal at the end? it so, that is for rear facing installs only. And yes, you are correct about the placement of the tether.

Do I use that "extra" tether for RF then? Our DD who is 7.5months is in a Peg Perego Viaggio 30/30 and we got another (clearanced) Marathon tonight and would like to use that in the Expedition. Again, have not read the manual as hers is not even out of the box. Will be reading this weekend!!
