True Fit on an airplane?

Has anyone used the True Fit on an airplane yet? If so, I'd love to know how it fit. I assume that thought it is lower than a Blvd, it is still too tall to use the tray table. I think I'm going to have to use our True Fit on our next trip so I want to be prepared.

Also, if I have to have my seat forward facing on the plane and can't use the tray table... does anyone have any good suggestions for how to prevent DS from dropping the DVD player... and how to handle meal time. If I brought my TF he could theoretically RF but I wonder if the FA would say something b/c he's 34 lbs 6 oz. (w/clothes).
