I contacted Chevy for more tether hooks and they called me and told me they either could give me the hooks, free, to install myself, or they can install for 50 bucks, I think for each one. I realized afterwards the girl I spoke to knew nothing of the bulletin and this is normal proceedure for them. So now I'm going to have to call back and explain. But I remembered when I got the one installed they said either they could only install in the middle according to the bulletin or that they could not install outboard cause there's no holes in the frame. So if that's the case then I have to have them install so they can drill a hole. Their labor charges are 50 every 1/2 hour and they said it takes 1/2 hour to install without drilling. Anyone know about this? And does anyone know where I can get pics of someone installing these or something showing how to install it?

I don't know for sure, but once a hole is drilled it takes very little effort to put in a tether. Basically just thread it through and tighten the bolt. Could they simply drill for you, and then you do the installation?

But how do I find the hole? Do I have to go in the trunk cause that is definately something I can't do. I think they drilled a hole for the middle one cause it's so close to the back of the seat that the tether, when completely pulled out and can't be tightened anymore, can be hooked up to it just like that. Works well for the RSTV.

What year and model Chevy do you have?
Our 1998 Malibu had pre-drilled holes. To locate them you have to crawl into the trunk on your back and look up at the rear filler panel.
I also did a KDMF installation with a 1995 Neon and it had pre-drilled holes, just sink the bolt, spacer,bolt and tether clip.
It was super easy and took like 5minutes total.

I don't know if Chevy has it but in our Honda Manual it actually tells you where to look but how far back they are as well.

It's easy if they give you some printed instructions. You can't find a dealer that has basic reading comprehension to do it?
