The foam broke - can I still use my seat?

Due to an unfortunate chain of events, DD's carseat (comfortsport) got juggled back and forth between vehicles and the house numerous times over 24 hours. I finally went to install her seat back in our van, and realised that a fairly big chunk of the styrofoam on the sides has broken off. I stuck it back in place and put the cover over it, which seems to be holding it in place...

Now I am wondering, do I need a new seat because of this? How important is it that the foam be in one piece?

Tape it together for now, and call Graco to see if they can send you another piece

yep, I'd call Graco and see if you can get a replacement.

Easier said than done, I have been trying to contact them for 3 days about getting new straps for the comfortsport.

I call, get put to a voice mail and have to leave my number. Then they call back when I am not home, and we have to start all over again. :thumbsdown:

Have you tried sending them an email? They have always responded to mine within a day and I have found it quite eay to do.

I sent them an email and their response was I have to call because I am "ordering parts".

I last left a message 2 days ago, and I still haven't heard back.

You should be able to buy parts online. I had to replace my EPS foam on my DS comfortsport back in the winter. A big piece chipped off from the side.

Apparently I have to do it over the phone because I am in Canada. Now, a chunk of foam has broken off of DSs Platinum Cargo, so I'll need a replacement for that too. I've called multiple times every day for the week - and I can never get anyone real on the phone. They said they would call back within 48 hours, and except for the first time, no one has contacted me at all.

If I was made of money, I would just buy new seats!
