Propping up a booster???

Ok, I'm in the bad habit of looking into people's back seats to check out car seats! So today I see in the back seat next to me a high-back booster in the middle position (no kid), but something pink was under it. On my way back to my car, I make a point to take a better look (driver was just sitting there in the car so I couldn't stop and stare ), and it had a pink binder type book (maybe about an inch thick) sitting under it!?!?! I'm taking a wild :)rolleyes:) guess saying that can't be safe! My only guess is they are trying to lift it up higher for a better fit - why don't they just get that if it doesn't fit their kid without lifting it up, they should probably still be in a 5 pt harness! I swear people just don't think!

You know, sometimes I wonder what you guys would think if you ever wandered past my car on a day when I'm out and about shopping without kids. I inevitably run out of room and shove whatever car seat is in the way over on top of stuff. (because I'd rather have the seat on top of the pepsi than the pepsi on top of the seat)

Funny! :p What I saw seemed purposefully put there - though I could be wrong since the kid wasn't there for me to see it in use!
