How to store safe seat

How do I store my safe seat and the bases (2). Right now they are sitting on garage floor. Any certian way you should store a car seat. I will be buying a new cover for it when the next baby comes. We are ttc so dont know how long I will store it for.

I have always kept mine in the house, in a closet where the temperature is controlled. I was always afraid that the garage would get to hot. And I didn't want it to get wet or mildewy and then not be able to use it.

I prefer to store mine in the house, too. But we have spiders in our garage, and cleaning spiders out of all the crooks and crannies on a carseat isn't fun.

At the very least, you can strip the carseat and store the cover and harness in a closet in the house.
