I did it - I think - so thanks to everyone here for the bits and pieces of info over the past several weeks.
I have all four car seats installed, and tethered properly. For the record - I have:
Radian - RF - captain's chair driver side
Frontier - captain's chair passenger side (long belt)
Frontier - third row passenger outboard (long belt)
Radian - third row middle with latch (with the proper latch connection)
Long belt wasn't hard at all on the two Frontiers - I was pretty scared by the description but once I tried it, I had no problem doing it all, by myself. It took a bit of patience to get the straps straight and not twisted. I am very nimble in the car seats - so can really get carseats tight. The tilt back of the seat is absolutely critical for the tight install on the two frontiers and the latch of the Radian in the third row.
I am not convinced I could put the Radian side-by-side to the Frontier in the third row with the seat belt - latch gives you at least 1 inch more space (slightly off centre). And, no way any child could sit back there beside the two car seats.
The RF Radian - after much contemplation, I will go against the manual's 32" limit. My little one is quickly approaching that limit and is no way ready to be turned around FF. Not sure how long I will keep him rear facing - but likely until he is close to two (i.e. almost another year). I will re-evaluate at that point. He doesn't mind at all - and probably prefers the view of two siblings in the back to our two heads in the front.
So thanks again - I will lurk about as I have learned a ton about four car seats in a Cdn minivan, car accidents - even minor ones, tethers and Frontier installs (long belt no less).
