Did you see the article is from 2005.....? There might be some good quotes there but personally I think they make a weak case for rf. They say it's only good in side impact crashes and a "small but statistically benefit" in frontal crashes. It's great rf gets more exposure but I don't think an article like this will convince many to rf. I would like to see much stronger language than this to convince more people not to ff at 12 months.:twocents:

I think it covers a lot of comments I hear like, "My baby is happier FF", my baby legs will be broken. Etc...
I will be sending this article on also.
There does need to be an updated one though.

It's one of sources that convinced me to erf way back when ds was turning 1. It came out just before his birthday and someone posted it on my birth board, along with the cpsafety erf page. I think that it's a great article for the average parent who has only ever heard the 1 and 20 mantra. It's well written and stronger language often serves only to scare people away. It addresses the key objections to erf- namely broken legs and unhappy toddlers. IMO, it's a nice introduction to the prinicple from a mainstream source.
