Question Parts and ebay listings

I was given an expired britax expressway car seat, my question is what can I still use on it? Is it okay to take off the cover and reuse or sell, how about the harness, belts or anything else? I know the shell has to be tossed but I was just wondering about everything else.
Another question I have is, I looked at the listings on ebay and holy cow there are so many expired seats listed, is this allowed on ebay? I would not think that it is. Are any of the handmade covers, strap covers etc. allowed to be used? I thought these were no nos but my goodness there are tons of them on ebay!

The only thing that would be ok to sell would be the cover. But, if your selling the cover it's going to be used on yet another expired seat or it's going to be used improperly because as far as I know all of the Freeways are expired and the covers don't fit on any other seats.

Everything else needs to be chopped up and tossed.

No, it's not okay to use homemade covers or anything like that.

With very few exceptions, the rule of thumb is if it didn't come with the carseat it's not okay to use. Exceptions would include accessories that the individual manufacturers sell seperately that are ok to use with their carseat.

Well the two covers I got with it both say Britax Roundabout on them but the shell says Britax Expressway so I'm assuming the covers are not the originals.

Interesting, do the covers fit properly on the Expressway shell?

If they're Roundabout covers you should have no issues selling them.

And, I mispoke, it does look like there are still a few Expressways that aren't expired yet.
