Question Thinking ahead on carseats...please help!

My daughter is only 2 months old, but my dh is 6'8" so I'm concerned she'll grow out of her Baby Trend Flex Loc early. I'm going with a Recaro Signo for my car when it's time, but I need something for my mother's 06 Escape. It has to rf & i'd like high harness weight. The budget is $150. Thanks!

For $150 I'd look at the Evenflo Triumph Advance. It rear faces to 35 pounds, same as the Recaro. It foward faces to 50 pounds with 17.5" top harness height (1.5" less than the Recaro). I costs $130-$170.

Otherwise I'd look at the Cosco Scenera and Safety 1st Uptown. Both rear face to 35 pounds and forward face to 40. The Scenera has 15" top slots, the Uptown has 16". The Scenera is $45 and right now the Uptown is on sale from $99 to $65 at Big Lots.
