What to do with old seats

I have two seats that I just replaced. An Apex (purchased last May) and a Tribute (I think) that was purchased last May as well. We have replaced both of these seats with the GN due to space issues in the backseat of dh's truck. (And the 4 y/o doesn't like the Apex and we find the Tribute too hard to tighten and get a good fit). I don't want to just destroy these seats as they are still in very good condition, no crashes, etc. Is there any liability if I sell them on Craig's list? What about if I donate them to a family I *know* is using expired car seats (foster parent, can't really afford new seats)? Are there any organizations that take in good condition seats?

I'm not sure about liability, but lots of people sell seats on CL. If you don't mind giving them away, I'd find someone who really needs them and just bless them with the seats!

A pregnancy resource center near you will take the seats.

I think the pregnancy resource center is a good idea too. However, if you already know a family that really needs them, I would give them to them.
