So we just got an 06 Grand Caravan today and I was reading the manual on the way home
In the carseat section it states "never install 3 child safety seats in a row in the 3rd row bench seat. The anchors are not rated to restrain the weight of three seats" (paraphrased of course)
I am confused...first of all, it only has one LATCH and top tether set in the center so how could you even install 3 seats with LATCH then?
Also, do they seriously mean don't ever install 3 across even with seat belts (if that was even possible in this car, not sure if it is)?
I've never heard of a company saying you could never do 3 across. The way it is worded is strange. They make it sound like you should never do 3 across with LATCH, but thats not possible because there is only one set and if they meant don't do 3 across with seatbelts.....why??? If it can restrain 3 people, why not 3 seats?
Anyone know?
