true fit help

finally got my true fit (i bought it in april, but i live overseas, so i just found a courier). i read the manual and it says ff is *only* with the top tether. but we have no rear tether anchor, nor do i think such a concept exists here in israel, so i don't think anyone does retrofitting. we've anchored our ra rf in the past, but were unable to anchor it ff. what now? tia.

just wondering if maybe this required tether for ff thing is actually a local regulation, rather than a safety issue. anyone?

As far as I know (and I'm sure someone with a True Fit can help clarify) the top tether is recommended but not mandatory. Did you buy it through Canada or the US? If you bought it through Canada, the top tether is required there, so that might be why.

Depending on how it's worded, it could also mean that you can use the tether only when it's FF (i.e., you can't use the tether RF).

I wouldn't imagine that the True Fit requires the tether, but it could be a quirk of the seat that I'm not aware of.

i wish. from the manual:
*Use top tether in all forward facing installations*
bought directly from learning curve, btw. i've written to them as well.
