Step by step guide to real Swedish RF tethering with photos

It has come to my attention that, where there is no D-ring in the front seat slide rail, a lot of sweat is broken.

SO I decided make a thread about it with photos of each step. I myself own a Swedish RF seat. The people in the store where I got it are professional car seat installers. They installed it for me and showed me just how and WHERE to do this.

My guess is that most people, who do this kind of RF tether strap installation themselves, install the strap in the plastic thingy on the side of the front seats. THIS IS WRONG and can be very dangerous in case you crash. The strap can easierly break the plastic loose and come off turning the car seat into a bouncing ball.

Printing these photos and using them is allowed for everybody on here.

Before I start. Just let me say that it is not as difficult as it looks. It doesn´t take much tether strap to do this kind of installation - after all, you tighten it at the end.

Step 1:[B
Remove the car seat from the car if it´s in it. This will make room for you to install the strap.

Step 2:
Move the fabric at the bottom of the front seat up and get something to hold it up for you.

Step 3:
Feed the loop part of the tether strap through the crack between the seat and the backrest of the front seat:

Step 4:
Feed the "buckle" part of the tether strap over the top of the plastic thing and slide it into the side of the front seat so that it is placed BEHIND the metal plate:

Step 5:
Loop the buckle part through the loop part and tighten the strap:

Step 6:
Move the fabric back into place and fasten it. End result:

Now install your car seat.

Just for the record: The car in these photos is a European Peugeot 307SW.

Hi, your pictures are not showing up anymore. Would it be possible to fix them? I remember these being great directions and would like to link a friend!
