Chubby Child in the Blvd

Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with a chubby baby and where the harness buckles into the crotch strap. It has an extra piece of plastic that faces downwards and seems to almost dig into dd's leg.

We were just test driving the seats and found this. It also looked like she was a little more squished in the seat than in the maration.

Any thoughts?

Is the BV buckle different than the MA? I thought they are all the same? Extra piece of plastic? Is it possible it's the belly pad that you mean? But that would definitely be the same fabric as the seat fabric and not plastic. I'm now very curious :)

And where do you see her being squished in the BV? Keep in mind the BV has the infant insert and the 'wings' so she might look more squished.
