Can You Help Me Choose?

Britax Marathon or Compass TrueFit for a 2004 Saturn ION 3 (this is a coupe, with only two rear seats)? One child, currently 5 months and 16 lbs.

If you can try them out in your car first, I would do that. I think I would say the True Fit, cause the infant padding looks so comfy. Otherwise the seats would be very similar, both to 65 lbs, and I think the top harness slot is close to the same. They both have lockoffs. The Marathon has the rf tether, which I really like. The True Fit has the removable headrest for rf under 22 lbs. If you can try them in your car you will be able to see which one will fit better.

The only stores around here are WalMart and Pamida, so trying them isn't very easy. There is a Target but it's over an hour away and I don't think they let you try them out, anyway do they?

I would choose the Marathon because I know how easy it is to install & because its so "tried & true". The true fit is also pretty to to install but it takes up more space rear facing vs. the marathon. The marathon is such a great seat, you'll love it

You could always order both, or one at a time (order the one you *think* you'd rather have first) from target.com, and return to the store if it doesn't work out. They often have free shipping and 10% off coupon codes. No free shipping this week though. :(

For most stuff they do. Check the details of the item before you buy. It will tell you whether a particular item can be returned in store or not. I'm paranoid and even printed that page when I bought my Nautilus, just in case they changed the policy after I bought it, lol.
