Scenera Issues Fixed!!!

So I got my NEW improved harness...NOT! They sent me the SAME harness. I called b/c I was not happy about this at all. She told me they would resend the proper NEW harness & I refused it. I told her I wanted a refund, but I didn't have my reciet(SP??) so they refused me! She told me they could send me a NEW Scenera, but I told her I didn't want that one either. I asked for a Safety 1st Uptown instead. She told me that the supervisor said that they could replace it with it, but it would cost me $30 for the upgrade. I decided to just pay the $30 so I could be done with it. I should recieve my Uptown within 7-10 business days. I hope I like it. If not I am not sure what I will do.

So if you are not happy with what they are offering make then exchange for you! It was worth it for the extra $30 for me anyways. Did I make the right choice? Should I have just accepted a newer Scenera without the spikes? DH is prolly going to kill me for the $30, but I do not care right now!

Uptown will give you a higher seat back and a MUCH more padded seat. IMO it's well worth $30.

I got to play with one tonight at Big Lots and I was really impressed with it. It looks like an overstuffed recliner next to a Scenera!

Cool! And assuming you couldn't find one for that price (the cheap 65$) anywhere (they are typically 99$, you got a heck of a deal for scenera+$30)

I'm waiting on my check from them..............not holding my breath. I'm going to give them 4-6 weeks, then I will call again and things will get nasty!:whistle:

I probably could have gotten one for the $65 as I have a Big Lots close to me, I just decided that by the time I drove to target, repurchased the Scenera, drove back home, faxed the reciet to Dorel, drove back to Target to return the seat, then turned around & drove in the opposite direction to Big Lots to purchase the Uptown it would have cost me about the same in gas, if not more. Plus I was not even sure how long it would have taken Dorel to get the refund to me. I wanted to make sure that I had the seat in case I needed it. Does that make since?

I think I am going to be very happy with the Uptown! Much happier than I was with the Scenera. I am glad that I asked for the Uptown rather than taking another Scenera!

I will be sure to take lots of pictures of it once I get it!

They sent my new Scenera in 5 business days(though I am in Canada). Unfortunately it still has the spikes. I told my MIL to keep an eye on it, if it snags again, I'll be calling Dorel again.

I would call Dorel again & ask for a refund in full as they sent you a fautly seat, yet again. This would just have made me livid! Do you have the Uptown there? If not then I would just get a refund in full & purchase an entirely different seat all together!

Call them back & FIGHT them over it. I was VERY addiment that I did NOT want a new harness or a new Scenera. I wanted something besides the same seat! Just make sure you're VERY addiment about what you want & all else fails, ask for a supervisor. I was actually on hold for forever several times while the rep spoke with the supervisor...I should have talked to him/her myself!

But either way...do NOT take no for an answer. Persist till you get what you want!
