Youngest to make rf seat more upright?

I'm thinking 6 mo but hoping it can be earlier. . .

DD2 is almost 3 mo. She's in a SS1. She hates the carseat. Spends the first 5-10 minutes of the trip with her head off the back of the seat trying to sit up more. (If you put her on the couch semi-reclined, she'll fling herself almost onto her belly in an attempt to sit up) I think her torso might be 10.5 in now so she could move to the BV (although I'm kicking myself for spending the extra $ for the bigger infant seat). Would it be okay to have her less than 45 %? She's been holding her head up since the day she was born. Could I put the infant seat *right* on the line of blue and orange, so no orange is showing if the seat is perfectly still, but once you start moving you might see some? That would probably be 2 or 3 twists, would that even make a difference? Other suggestions? We'll be driving from OH to NC for a wedding in 2 weeks so I really want to find a way for her to be more comfortable.

Thanks!

You can make it more upright, as long as it's still within the acceptable range. My concern would be head slumping when she sleeps. Having decent head control when alert isn't quite the same.
