And I actually made a successful recomendation to someone! I was so proud of myself!
There was this Dad and Grandma putting an AOE in their cart, and I walked by and innocently whispered "there are better options" The Grandma asked why and I explained about the low top harness slots, etc, and asked who she was buying for. She said a 2 month old, 15lb baby, because their car got stolen and they didn't want another infant seat so they were looking at convertibles. I showed her the EFTA and said if it were me I'd go for that or the TF and told her all the reasons why.
Then I threw in some ERF info, told her the importance of reading the manual, and to get the install checked by a tech, told her where to find a tech in our area (Nicole - you may see them at an Options check ), and told her to make sure the chest clip was at armpit level, and to register the seat with Evenflo. So they thanked me over and over again and bought the EFTA. They were so excited and I was so glad that baby will be *hopefully* properly restrained in an EFTA for a long time, instead of growing out of an AOE and going into a booster at 2 or 3 years old. Yay me!
