Title basically says topic, my question is, is this safe?? My DD has a Regent and a Nautilus and rides outboard driver's side (well, in the van it is driver's side captain's chair) and now has long enough legs to put them up on the seat in front of her (her toes are up near the headrest). My sister is a mechanical engineer and mentioned something about someone she knew in vehicle testing saying you should never have your feet up high in a car (ie, on the seat back in front of you, or on the dashboard if you're the passenger) because it could cause serious injuries in a crash.
Has anyone heard of anything like this? Especially in children?
BTW, we haven't been having DD put her feet up, we make her sit criss-cross if she doesn't want her legs to dangle.
