Yeah - got two new uptowns to use as emergency seats in my crummy work car (1998 saturn sl2)- please check installs - I am used to Britax so these just look different - they were easy to install and DH got his usuall rock solid no movement on both. The FF uptown touches the actual saturn seat near the top and on the bottom towards the front - is this because there is no base? there is like a space in the back? the RF uptown - had to use a towel to get it reclined enough even for an 18month old - it is pretty upright still but it doesn't look to far off from 30 degrees but i know someone on here will know better - it didn't mention using a towel or pool noodle in the instructions but without it the seat would have benn tipped forward (i think the saturn seats are extr slanty) both installed with seat belts - both ALR/ELR - i locked them both tethered the FF uptown - Thanks for the input!

I've only installed my Uptown FF a couple times, but one time I didn't quite have the rear foot, the one that swings up and down, all the way on the seat even though I had a solid install. I can't tell from your pictures, but that is one thing to check.

For RF, I have always had to use at least one pool noodle when installing, in some cases, I've taped three together to make a pyramid.

on the FF seat the recline stand thingy is down but it is bareley toughinf the seat - it is really the top half of the seat and the front half of the bottom touching the saturn seat. the rest is a little up in the air - you can stick your hand behind the lower back of the seat - it might be my car too - this is the first time i have installed seats in it - the britax don't look that way in the truck or the caravan - but hey - they are britax!
