Dh and I are talking about ttc or 3rd child. Our second is 18 months. We currently have the combi twin sport stroller as our stroller and i love the stroller. We currently use it for or 18 month old and just 4 year old and she fits just fine. I tried many doubles and this is the stroller i would want to use as a double. (Actually preferably it would be a mountain buddy double, but that isn't happening.) Of course when we bought the stroller ds wasn't in an infant seat so i didn't even think of that option. I would prefer that the stroller to fit an infant seat. Especially when the baby is very little. I haven't looked much into the seat yet. We currently have a safeseat that i bought brand new for my ds so once the new baby outgrows the combi i can use the safe seat. What are your option.

It's 'ok'...it fit my newborn well, wasn't hard to install, was light enough to carry. But I couldn't really get over the 'puzzle' buckle...it's this little plastic buckle that you have to hold together and they are sort of like two puzzle pieces, and then put it into the buckle. Here was my dd in it at a month http://picasaweb.google.com/joolstag/LeahInCarseats/photo#4968704638894473234 (there's a newborn pic of her in it, but it's really low resolution, but it fit fine).

On the plus side, a puzzle buckle isn't tooooo big of a challenge with a younger baby, it's my older kids when they don't want to get buckled up that make it hard to do

Anyway, it's lightish, cheapish, and relatively convenient (I think the Shuttle is the same basic seat, with anti-rebound bar, so it might fit on your stroller, too).

we had the same puzzle piece with our eddie bauer infant seat from dd # 1 (which i hated the seat not so much the buckle). I loved my safe seat, but to me its cheaper to buy a seat than a whole new stroller.

I wouldn't be surprised if I'm the only one who used one ... Check Darren's review in the Review section, since he sent it to me after he was done with it  (Just not a terribly popular seat, lol).

:)

(though, I'm still helping bump it even more by saying this...maybe there's a lurker who wants to give some input!)

Hi,

I have one in Mango. I agree with pp... the plastic puzzle buckle was less than ideal. When Emma was really little it wasn't so much an issue, but as she got chubbier in the thighs it got harder and harder for me to buckle her. Also, I like to wear her and I found taking her in and out while still in the vehicle pretty hard -- mainly because the puzzle buckle is so awkward (Emma was/is also in the middle so it had me reaching way in and sort of working blindly if that makes sense). Another thing was that the handle had to be left up (per manual) and so taking her in and out meant I had to lower the handle.. and it's not the easiest handle to work with. The release buttons on the handle are 'sticky'. Installation was fine, and actually the built on locking clip on the base was super handy. All in all it was okay. I wouldn't buy one again though. I stopped using it when Emma was about 3m/o. I moved her to a rf Marathon/SS1 arrangement, and then when the Combi recall happened I sort of *retired* my Combi altogether. I'm currently waiting for the repair kit so that I can sell my seat and be done with it.

So that's probably not what you wanted to here, but it's my honest opinion FWIW.

If it meant buying a Combi seat to have a travel system I'd get a new stroller. And since it sounds like you like your stroller I'd probably stick with the SS1 that you already have -- skipping the whole travel system idea -- and get a really good baby carrier. Also FWIW, I just got a Beco Gen 4 today and  it. It's what I've moved to post Bjorn (Emma's too big now for a Bjorn) and wow, it's uber lovely.
