I received my two Frontiers today. I took some comparision photos of it and the Sunshine Kids Radian.

Here are some quick pictures of the Frontier compared to the Radian. They were both installed FF'ing with LATCH and Tether. I have not tried a seatbelt install.

Oh, and thanks to Nicole(QuassEE) for hearing my moans, gripes, and uh...a few colorful words

Great pics. Thanks! Yours looks so much more reclined than I could get mine. I don't know if with my sedan seats it just sits up straighter??

Anyways sorry to hijack but would you be willing to check one thing for me? I never had a Britax with the TSIP (this is my first) but when I installed the seat in my parents car tonight if I grabbed the wings they were pretty loose. I didn't shake hard but you can tell they move. Do yours do that??

Do you really think an 80 lb kid could use that seat harnessed? I just wonder.

I do like the looks of it.

Hey Chickee LOVE the pictures! The new seats look great! Have you gotten little Miss Polly a car seat harness yet?

Oh wow, I love the looks of that seat! I think you just helped seal the deal on the Canyon fabric for me. I love my Radian, but that Frontier "looks" so much nicer in comparison (IMO). thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I wondered the same thing at Lifesavers Conference, when I put a 67 lbs kid in one. He had outgrown the harness.

Oh, and the seats are nice. :p

Hey, was it your dd who was allergic to dogs? Is she doing better now? Or am I being an a$$ and confusing her?

By the way, I think that adorably puppy is too small to FF:p

Remember kids come in all shapes... I'm sure Safeinthecar's dd would fit in that seat at 80 lbs (she's 70 now and has an inch before she's at the top of the Radian) :). Kids more in the middle of the growth chart curve? No. My dd's average weight at 58 pounds/almost 9, and her torso is right at the top limit of the FR...If she were just a little more solid, I'd be thrilled that seat has a higher than 65 pound weight limit  (as for my scrawny 10 yo? He's too tall for the Regent, and he's not quite 70 pounds... ;)).

Melissa, those are fantastic! They look so much more comfy than the Radian, IMO. Once you install it the first time, subsequent times get SO much easier, I've found

I havn't been on this site for sooo long! I'm just now reading old posts.

What cool pictures. We purchased the seat and sent it back. After we returned it they came out with the long belt path instructions.

I wonder if I should order one again during the Britax sale and try long belt path?

I love the Radian I wish it just had more protection around her head.

Order one.......do not order one......

The tan is very nice looking. We have the pink (I have gray interior) but if we had a car with tan interior I would definitely have this one too.

We just bought a new Odyssey. I left the headrests in when installing (and ran the tether under it)...should I take them off??? Or does it really matter. It does not effect the way the seat sits at all. Maybe I can try snapping a few pictures to demo... I was so impressed with how easy of an install with latch in the odyssey was. It's a PITA in dh's 08 Impala. I could not get it tight enough.

Thanks for sharing the comparison pics.

Nah, you can leave them on. I just had them off, because..hmm...trying to remember why...Maybe because the Radians installed better without them? But yeah, the Frontiers are so low that you don't need to remove the headrest. I always thread under the hold bar on the back of the seat as well. :)

If the headrest isn't needed, I prefer it off so I can see better out the back.
