Next step after Wizard: ???

My parents have a Wizard for DS in their car. I figured he'd have a while longer in it but I just looked when I was there on Friday and he has a lot less than I thought. We measured him and he grew 3/8" in a month! He is 40" tall now. I don't know how much longer he has in the seat, the harness looks like it will go up another 1/2" or thereabouts. Certainly no more than 1".

I will have to replace it (probably sooner rather than later, if he keeps growing like the proverbial weed) but I'm not sure what with. My options as I see them are

a) buy a Nautilus (I'd rather have him harnessed, but how much time would it really buy us for the cost?)
b) buy a Parkway (on sale, but again, would rather have him harnessed)
c) ?? Suggestions ??

edit to add: he is 4 (in 2 wks) and 36 lbs.

Piper is right there too, about 3/4" left in her Wizard.

The top harness height is about 16.5", so the Nautilus would get you two solid torso inches, maybe a hair more. That's probably a year or two. Piper's torso hasn't grown more than 1/4" in over a year. When she was 4.5 her legs finally started to catch up. Plus the Nautilus's top slots are just about an inch lower than the Regent, so it's second best when it comes to harnessing. And the Regent doesn't turn into a booster at all.

Piper is likely getting a Nautilus next for my car and her Parkway will go in her dad's car. But she'll be probably 6.5 when that happens. She won't go boostered full time until she's at least 40 pounds. More likely, though, not until she outgrows the Nautilus's harness.

We got ds a nautilus for dh's truck after he outgrew the BV. I think he had about 2 inches to go on the nautilus harness when we first switched him. That could buy us 6 months, two years, who knows! But it does turn into the hbb and lbb after the harness is outgrown, so you'd still get plenty of use out of it. :)

I'm glad you posted! I knew I had seen a kid about his size in a Wizard in someone's sig. :D

If I can harness him another year or maybe two in the Nautilus, I'd totally do it. Maybe soon he'll start growing in the legs. The kid is all torso--just over 16" seat-to-shoulder
