Can I use our car seats in Switzerland?

    Hi,

We will be moving to Switzerland in a few months. I have a Britax Marathon (about 9 months old) and I will have to buy a new car seat now, since one of my children has outgrown his. Can I use these seats in Switzerland or will I have to buy some there?

I would hate to have to sell seats that are quite new.

    Thanks.

    Mandy

It is against the law to use seats labeled from different contries, but people do it all the time. I think it would be a personal decision

I think it would depend on what kind of seats Switzerland has. I know Sweden has some great seats that rf till 55#! And in some European countries though, it's normal to turn baby ffing at 9kg and they don't even have seats that rf after that.

I think I probably would. My knowledge of Switzerland is limited to one acquaintance I had when I lived in Germany. She said there were no good convertibles available there, and she was planning to either buy a Marathon when she came home to the US to visit or to buy a German convertible across the border.
