I've been trying to sell my 99 Windstar for a few weeks, mainly because we only have one child, and 99% of our driving is in city limits, and gas mileage is killing us. In the year that I've owned it, we've only used the extra seating a handful of times.
I was leaning toward a sedan like a Ford Focus, Honda Civic or Accord, or Toyota Corolla or Camry. I'd only be able to get a 93-95 Honda or Toyota, based on what I've seen for local pricing, but I could get a 2000+ Ford Focus.
I like the idea of a Focus, especially because I can get one with LATCH (my Windstar does not have lower anchors, only top tether anchors), and use our Clek LATCHed, or consider a Monterey in the future. I also love the good gas mileage of a Focus, and the Focus gets pretty good crash test scores for a small car.
Someone contacted me with a 2003 Ford Focus with 75K miles, wanting to trade for my 99 Windstar. Is this a good deal? It seems like it to me. Is there anything I should consider before leaning toward accepting the trade?
Focus owners: what do you love and hate about your vehicle?
