I want to start with the fact that I am not a tech and I don't pretend to be one. I do have a lot of different carseats and have learned so much through all of you.
My neighbor who is a tech referred another neighbor to me tonight. They have a BMW SUV that currently has an airbooster for their 5 year old. They are expecting twins in the fall and need to find seats and combos to fit in their car. They were shopping all weekend for a new car, but really like their car so they came to see what we could workout. It was actually very easy and they are buying a radian to put their 5 year old in...he is 42lbs and is at least 2 inches from the top slot. That seat will go in the center with a great fit. The snugrides fit perfectly on either side. The 5 year old can strap himself in and mom can easily make adjustments from the front and the twins will be easy to get in and out. They don't have an exact plan for when the twins outgrow the carriers, but we could get the radian rearfacing in the center and outboard passenger side so they have a few option that we discussed.
I am excited the 5 year old will be harnessed and he didn't even care. We discussed the benefits of ERF and my neighbor the tech is going to check all the seats and make sure they are installed properly after they are all ordered and arrive!
I think it was a successful day!
